CURRENT TRIPS:

Peru 2026: Team Leader: Chris Morgan, Grades: Current 11th and 12th grade, Cost: $2,500, Deposit: $500 with application; $400 a month thereafter through June 30, 2026.

Savannah 2026: Team Leader: Brent Squires, Grades: Current 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th grade, Cost: $985, Deposit: $100 with application; full payment required by the end of May.

Summer Serve 2026: Team Leader: Cory Black, Grades: Current 6th and 7th grade, Cost: $500, Deposit: $100 with application; full payment required by the end of May.

In order to be considered for any missional team, local or global, individuals must fill out the following application and submit a non-refundable deposit. If the participant is under the age of 18, a legal guardian will have to review and sign as well.

Please fill out this application completely. The non-refundable deposit listed must be paid with the submission of this application.

The Team Leader will notify the applicant once they have been accepted to the team.

NOTE: At the end of this application, you will find the Release and Waiver of Liability and the Assumption of Risk and Release of Liability. If you would like a physical copy of these forms, please request them from the Team Leader.

11th-12th Grade

Current 11th-12th grade students are invited to join our PERU mission trip, serving with Catch the Vision Ministries!

Chris Morgan will lead the team on an epic adventure in ministry. Join us as we travel to Iquitos, Peru to work with Catch the Vision. While in Peru, we will be doing various service projects such as working at a children’s sports camp, painting and even do some construction. Also, we will be sharing the Gospel with nearby villages.

This trip is for current 11th grade through 12th grade. Students must be regular attenders at Mt. Horeb. No students from other churches will be added.

We will take a maximum of 12 students and 4 adult leaders.

8th, 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th Grade

Current 8th-12th grade students are invited on this mission trip to Savannah that focuses on addressing the city's housing affordability crisis by engaging in work projects like painting and repairing homes. These efforts provide immediate relief and stability to families in need.

Our team will be involved in home repair projects that reach out to those in need during an ongoing housing crisis in Savannah. We will work in neighborhoods with a diverse group of people and circumstances. Team members will have the opportunity to share their lives through service, prayer and time spent with the families and children they come to work alongside.

In addition, teams will serve a portion of their day supporting the Salvation Army and their ministries. These include children's ministry and other social outreaches. Experience Mission may hold an organized Kids Club, depending on the specific needs of the week we serve.

We will take 25 students, 7 leaders.

6th - 7th Grade

Current 6th-7th grade students are invited to join the Middle School Ministry of Mt. Horeb in Charleston, SC for a week of Summer Serve!

While in North Charleston, our primary focus will be poverty outreach. We’ll be partnering with a local homeless shelter to help prepare and serve meals, offering support and compassion to those experiencing homelessness. This opportunity allows us to meet practical needs while building meaningful connections with the community.

We will take 20 students, 5 leaders.

If I were to be approved as a team member, I am also giving consent for video/photos/audio that include my name, likeness, or voice taken by representatives of Mt. Horeb Church to be used for promotional purposes within the church, on printed and electronic media, and on electronic platforms, including but not limited to Mt. Horeb's website, official social media accounts, and digital media. In addition, I am agreeing to treatment by medical staff if an emergency arises while on this trip.

Release and Waiver of Liability

This is a copy of the Release and Waiver of Liability required to travel with Mt. Horeb. You may also be asked to sign a physical copy of this form prior to departure. By typing my name below, I recognize that there are risks involved in participating in the mission trip and hereby assume all risk of injury, harm, damage, or death in connection with my participation in it. I hereby acknowledge that by engaging in this mission, I am subjecting myself to certain risks voluntarily, including and in addition to those risks which I normally face in my personal and business life, including but not limited to such things as health hazards due to poor food and water, diseases, pests, and poor sanitation; potential danger from lack of control over local population; potential injury while working; and inadequate medical facilities, etc. I understand and agree that neither Mt. Horeb nor its trustees, officers, directors, employees, agents or representatives may be held liable in any way for any injury, harm, damage, or death that may occur to me as a result of my participation in this mission trip and hereby release Mt. Horeb, its trustees, officers, directors, employees, agents and representatives from any injury, harm, damage or death, which may occur while I am participating in the mission trip. To the fullest extent permitted by law, I agree to save and hold harmless Mt. Horeb, its trustees, officers, directors, employees, agents and representatives from any claim by myself, my estate, heirs, successors, assigns or other persons arising out of my participation in the mission trip. Further, I hereby release and discharge the mission organizations which assisted in these arrangements, their agents, employees, and officers, from all claims, demands, actions, judgments, and executions which I ever had, or now have, or may have or claim to have, against the mission organizations, their agents, employees, and officers, and their successors or assigns for all personal injuries to personal property, real or personal, caused by, or arising out of, the above described mission service. If I am unable to do so, I authorize Mt. Horeb through its trustees, officers, directors, employees, agents or representatives to consent to any necessary examination, anesthetic, medical diagnosis, surgery, or treatment and/or hospital care rendered to me under the general or special supervision and on the advice of any physician and surgeon licensed to practice medicine by the state or country in which they practice, during the duration of the trip.
